In Sepetember 2009 a clean up of the canal bank in Todmorden took place and was a great success. The next event for the Linear Park project was a mass clean up of the towpath and the first time that the whole Upper Valley length was tidied!
It took place on Sunday the 7th of March and there were various meeting points along the canal for volunteers, with local pubs on the canal kindly supporting the event by giving free hot drinks to those taking part. There was also a draw with the chance to win a half day trip on a narrowboat on the canal.
The event was during National Towpath Tidy week.
